    The funeral for Mr Steph Mathie will be held at 1.30pm on Mon 7 Aug 2023 at Clydebank Crematorium, Crematorium Lodge, Mountblow Road, Clydebank G81 4SL and afterwards at The Twisted Thistle, 316 Dumbarton Rd, Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow G60 5JH. All are welcome.

    WARRIORS is a musical production being performed at the Fringe. it has been co-written by Del Shannon and is based on his experiences in 1ES and 1SCOTS.

    The funeral for Mr William Thorburn will take place at 1500 on Friday 4 August 2023 at Seafield Crematorium, 40 Seafield Road, Edinburgh EH6 7LD, and afterwards at the Hibernian Supporters Club, 11 Sunnyside, Edinburgh EH7 5RA.

  6. RS MUSEUM TEMPORARY REMEMBRANCE EXHIBITION AT DALKEITH PALACE NOVEMBER 2023 – THE ASK

    WHAT? A temporary RS Museum exhibition, to be repeated year on year across The Royal Scots Regimental Area.

    WHERE? This year at Dalkeith Palace, seat of the Buccleuch Family with their Regimental and Club connections, a founding father of the latter.

    WHEN? 4- 8 November 2023 during Remembrance Week and ahead of annual Acts of Remembrance at our Memorial in Princes Street Gardens, the Glencorse Memorial Gates and elsewhere.

    WHY? To highlight aspects of our 373 years’ unbroken service to the Crown to the good folk of Dalkeith, Midlothian and further afield, and remind of the continuing relevance of Remembrance in the contemporary world.

    THE ASK. Your Regiment needs you as Pontius Pilate’s Bodyguard Volunteers to act as guides. Colonel Martin Gibson is the overall lead. Jim Blythe and Tom Logan are the PPBG Volunteer coordinators. Briefing/training will be delivered in advance. Reasonable out of pocket expenses for travel and subsistence will be reimbursed

  7. EAST OF SCOTLAND BRANCH JOINT SUMME PARTY.

    With just over 5 weeks to go East of Scotland Branch invites the Regimental Family and Friends to join us at our Summer Party on Saturday 26th August at 1900hrs.

    The Party will be held at British Legion Prestonpans and will be an informal gathering.

    This means that you can come in your best summer Beachwear, (optional).

    We hope to see you at our Summer Party with the rest of our friends and family. We are pretty sure that with your presence, our Party will be perfect.
