  3. THE ROYALS SCOTS BAND REUNION LUNCH

We’re all set for Saturday 30th September in the RS Club.

The critical information is that the cost is now confirmed as £26 per person, which is pretty good for a three course lunch in the most elegant dining room in Edinburgh.

Those who have already registered interest should have received an email from me by now, with an attachment providing all necessary information. All you need to do now is to send in your return, along with payment, by Friday 25th August.

Any former Regimental Band members who have not received the email and who might be interested, should contact me at wjblythe@hotmail.com. In any event, spread the word.

    Best wishes,

    Jim

  6. Mr Stevie Mallin

    I have re-posted a comment from Stevie’s daughter Lauren:

I would like to send my heartfelt thanks for these condolences and for the outstanding representation from the Royal Scots at my dad’s funeral yesterday. Serving his country was something he was immensely proud of and his army days were truly some of the most beloved and important of his life. Having that respect on his final journey meant the world and I know it is what he would have wanted. Many thanks, Lauren, Stephen’s daughter x

  9. Calling all former members of The Royal Scots Regimental Band.

Further to my most recent e-mails, herewith an update.

Saturday 30th September is the date most members have advised availability and the Douglas Room in The Royal Scots Club is likewise available that day, so I have booked it.

    Arrangements remain as already outlined.

Stand by to receive the proforma finalising detail and asking for payment, which remains excellent value at £26 per person for three courses in the most elegant dining room in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, continue to spread the word as some spaces at the table remain. I am contactable at wjblythe@hotmail.com

    Best wishes,

    Jim
