  7. CALLING ALL FORMER 1 RS REGIMENTAL BAND MEMBERS

As a former Band President (Werl 1987 – 89), I write to all former members of the 1 RS Regimental Band, with a question.

The question is whether there would be an appetite for a Regimental Band reunion lunch, ladies included, in The Royal Scots Club one day in late spring or early summer this year?

I would be very grateful if you would let me know, one way or the other, and whether you would favour a weekday or a Saturday. If it would be popular, I will start the planning process, keeping everyone abreast of progress. It will all be contingent on obtaining a favourable price from the Club, of which I am hopeful.

Please contact me at wjblythe@hotmail.com by Thursday 2 March.

    1. RIP Budgie, thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time.

Budgie was always ready with a funny or let’s do something different type of guy.

We were both in Charlie company in Tidworth and on tours in NI, he was a friendly happy go lucky person who just made everyone’s day!

I know he used to poke the bear when he and “Jock” Masterton or Davy Pugh were around.

      We will miss you Budgie!

  10. Just a reminder that the first meeting of the year for the Edinburgh and East of Scotland Veterans group organised by Legion Scotland, is on this Sunday at the Scots Guards Club starting at 1200.
