The RBL have invited us to bid for tickets to march at this year’s Cenotaph parade in London on Sunday 8 November 2026.
At this stage, all I need is to submit a number and in order to do so, I would be grateful if you would indicate your intention to join us in London by 20 April 2026. Please email me at bgdelahaye@yahoo.co.uk .The number does not have to be exact at this stage and I will always ask for a few “extra”, however, it is important that the number requested is reasonably accurate.
By way of reminder, the criteria to march is as follows:
- Ex-service personnel from the UK and the Commonwealth who have served the Crown.
- Retired emergency services personnel from the UK and Commonwealth who have served the Crown.
- Partners or first-generation family members of those who served in His Majesty’s Armed Forces and have died. This only includes the following:
- Wives, husbands, partners or civil partners
- Siblings
- Parents
- Children
- Those marching on behalf of their organisations that have historically played a significant role in times of conflict, supporting the Armed Forces community or who are key organisations in Remembrance.
- A carer of a veteran requiring wheelchair assistance.
Our numbers have inevitably decreased over recent years and RBL are always under pressure to admit new Association groups. The limit is 10,000 to march. To try and ensure we maintain our presence on the invitation list, we should try and keep our numbers up towards thirty (based on previous years).
For those who have not marched before, I encourage you to consider coming as it is a very special day!
