There will be a Memorial Service to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Kohima at 1030 on Sat 29 Jun 2024 at The Royal Scots Memorial Garden at Lauriston Castle, Edinburgh EH4 6AD. All are welcome.

The Royal Scots contingent with a piper and Association Standard will form up in the car park at 1030 and will march short distance to the Royal Scots Memorial Garden. All others are welcome to congregate at the Garden. The service will commence at 1050 during which there will be the opportunity to lay wreaths.

The Battle of Kohima took place in eastern India during the period 4 Apr – 22 Jun 1944 and was a turning point in the campaign in the India / Burma theatre of operations. Further information can be found on the website via the following link Kohima Campaign 1944
