    As advertised in the forecast of events, it is intended that Regimental Band members and their ladies will meet in The Royal Scots Club for a reunion lunch in the Douglas Room on Saturday 13 September 2025.

  2. Very sad to learn about Gordon Strange who also served Queen and Country on horizons wider than 1 RS. Well remembered from the 1 RS ATk Pl during the Cyprus Emergency of 1974-75.

  5. Mr Gordon Strange

    It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell all that another Royal Scot, Gordon Strange, passed this morning, 15 May 2025. Gordon was diagnosed with cancer sometime ago but he would not let that stop him from continuing life to the full right up till very recently. Our sincere condolences go to Moira and the family.

    Funeral arrangements will be published when known.

    RIP Gordon.

    2. Really sad to hear about Gordon
      I served with him in Osnabruck and in N Ireland a great guy to be around.
      Last saw him a few years at the Royal Scots Club he was smiling and we had
      a good chat and lots of laughs when talking about our past.
      My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

  8. Mr John Kay

    It is with great sadness that we report the death on 4 May 2025 of Mr John Kay, who was a member of the Regimental Band. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. His funeral will be held at 1200 on Thu 15 May 2025 at William T Fraser & Son, Culduthel Road, Inverness IV2 6AB and afterwards at the Lovat Arms Hotel, Main Street, Beauly IV4 7BS.

  9. Mr David McKenzie

    The funeral for Mr David McKenzie will be held at 3.30pm on Fri 9 May 2025 at Mortonhall Crematorium, 30B Howden Hall Road, Edinburgh EH16 6TX, and afterwards at the Hunter’s Tryst, 97 Oxgangs Road, Edinburgh, EH13 9NG.
