Armed Forces Day 2025 in Edinburgh will take place on Saturday 28 June 2025. The Royal Scots will provide a contingent in the parade and all are encouraged to join the march or for refreshments and entertainment afterwards.
Those taking part should assemble on the north side of Charlotte Square by 1000. The parade will set off at 1030 and march eastwards along the south side of George Street,, passing the saluting dias outside the Assembly Rooms, and finish in St Andrew Square, where there will be refreshments and entertainment.
Timings for the Parade are as followed:
1000 Parade to be at Charlotte Square ready for form up
1015 Parade forms up Charlotte Square
1015 Charity stalls open within St Andrew Square
1028 Lord Provost & VIPs take position outside Assembly Rooms
1030 Parade steps off from Charlotte Square
1035 Salute taken (dais in position outside Assembly Rooms)
1045 Parade arrives in St Andrew Square & moves into position within
1050 Speeches
1100 Refreshment Area Opens
1100 Entertainment starts
