Tam Haggerty
There will be a memorial service for Private Tam Haggerty on 3 March 2026, the 35th anniversary of the day he was killed on Operation GRANBY.
The service will be held at 1100 on 3 March 2026 at the Parkhead Congregational Church, 77 Westmuir Street, Parkhead, Glasgow, G31 5EW.
Hi all, Just to let you know that Derek Notman (Nolts) and I will be meeting up about 0900/0930 for a slim athletic Scottish breakfast on Tuesday 10 February 2026 at Tiso (Outdoor sports shop), 50 Couper St, Glasgow G4 0DL, off junction 15 of the M8. There is free parking outside the store. Hopefully some auld handsome Royals may come along for a hearty breakfast and blether!
We last met up in September 2025 and were joined by Col Martin Gibson and John (Rossco) Ross. What a great morning we had catching up.

Association AGM
The Association AGM has been postpoined by one week and will now be held in The Royal Scots Club at 1900 on Friday 6 March 2026.
There will be the facility to join the meeting remortely. Papers and a Teams link will be circulated in due course.

Major Richard Dickson
It is with great sadness that we report the death on 26 January 2026 of Major Richard Dickson TD. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Richard served with 1RS in the 1960s and then the TA until the 1980s. Latterly he lived in Texas.
