1. WO11 Walker – 11am on 18th December at Colchester Crematorium for any Members that may be down this way or feel they wish to pay respects.

  2. Can anyone please direct me to a timeline that clarifies Scottish regimental history? Please excuse any ignorance on my part regarding such a proud history.

I am thinking a timeline beginning with the circa 1633 Royal Scots and evolving to the present. Scottish regimental history can be overwhelming to a foreigner with examples to include but not limited to the Borderers, Fusiliers, Black Watch, various Highlanders, and the present day Royal Regiment. A simple timeline might help clarify that history.

  3. It is with a heavy heart that I post this notice this morning. I received an email from Canada to inform me that Glen Allan passed away two weeks ago. Glen was a very lovely man and I had the pleasure of being a friend of his through the Regimental newsletter. Gone but not forgotten Glen. You can now relax and share your time with your beloved Harriet again. RIP my friend.

  4. The arrangements for James Penman’s funeral are as follows:-

Funeral Service will take place at the Pentland Chapel, Mortonhall Crematorium, 30B Howden Hall Road, Edinburgh EH16 6TX at 4.30pm on Monday 10th December and all family and friends are cordially invited to the Royal Hotel, High Street, Penicuik afterwards.

Family Flowers only, and a retiral collection for Marie Curie.
