Unforgotten Forces

Dear All,

Following the success of the “Voice of Veterans” event in Bathgate in June run by the Scottish Older People’s Assembly (SOPA) in conjunction with the Unforgotten Forces project, SOPA’s annual parliamentary assembly, taking place in the debating chamber of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on Sat 5th Oct, will this year feature a dedicated workshop chaired by
the Scottish Veterans Commissioner, Charlie Wallace, to focus on the issues relevant to older veterans in Scotland.

The Unforgotten Forces consortium, of which SOPA is a member, would therefore like to extend an invitation to this event to older veterans in the age group 65 years and above thereby giving them the opportunity to let MSPs and Government Ministers hear about and discuss issues of relevance to them. Full details about the event and how to book places are given in the below attached advert Flyer.

I would therefore be grateful if you could please consider forwarding this message and the
below Flyer to any relevant individuals or groups with a view to encouraging some older
veterans to attend. Many thanks.

Glen MacDonald
Unforgotten Forces Coordinator
