REG-BN 1 SCOTS
On 28 March 2006, The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) merged with the other surviving Scottish Infantry Regiments to form The Royal Regiment of Scotland in which our 1st Battalion became The Royal Scots Battalion. On 1 August 2006 this Battalion merged with The King’s Own Scottish Borderers Battalion to form The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland or 1 SCOTS. They are a light-roled battalion based in Dreghorn Barracks, Edinburgh.
