Freedom Burghs
Five burghs within the Regimental Area have honoured the Regiment by granting their freedom:
Haddington 1947
Peebles 1954
Linlithgow 1960
Musselburgh 1971
Penicuik 1975
City of Edinburgh
In 1984, the City of Edinburgh granted the Regiment the Right to March through the streets of the City with drums beating, bayonets fixed and colours flying, in recognition of the Regiment's 350th Anniversary.
