I would like to say how sad i was to hear about the tragic accident and death of Ex Royal Scot L/Cpl Chris O'Kane who died as a result of an accident involving a pedicab on Lothian Road on the early hours of Sunday morning while celebrating his birthday. Chris had transfered to the REME and was attached to 17 Port and Maritime based in Southampton, prior to that he was Machine Gun Platoon B Company. My thoughts go out to his family.

Very sad news about a young ex royal Chris O'Kane who sadly past away over the weekend. My heart goes out to the family. As we say Once a Royal Always a Royal. RIP.

A tragedy occurred in the early hours of sunday the 4th of april. Christopher O'Kane a former Royal Scots lance corporal aged only 26 died in an incident in Edinburgh whilst celebrating his birthday. My heart felt condolences go out to his family and friends. "Spud" as he was known in the battalion was a great man, friend, and soldier and will be sorely missed by all who served with him in the Machine Gun Platoon B Company where he exemplified all the attributes that made him such a great guy to be around.
