Hello...my relative CB Whyte served with 2nd Bn Royal Scots during some period of 1916 culminating in his being wounded November 13, 1916. This must have been during the battle of the Ancre. He was back in Canada to recover, returned to service in May 1917. He was seconded to the RFC as an observer and subsequently shot down and killed Near Ypres May 3, 1918. I have almost no information on the location of the Battalion during the period in 1916 before the battle of Ancre. Can anyone help with some detailed info or a timeline of engagements for the 2nd Battalion. Photos from this time would be much appreciated as well. regards Scott Whyte FROM HHQ RS: Thank you for your enquiry.
