The annual Regimental Day Dinner will be held on Saturday 25 March 2023 in The Royal Scots Club. A notice with more details can be found on the Events page. An attendance proforma can be obtained from Tam Logan or the Regimental Office.
Mrs Elizabeth (Betty) McDonald
It is with great sadness that we report the death on 2 February 2023 of Mrs Elizabeth (Betty) McDonald, widow of Major Bob McDonald, RS 1968 – 1989. Our thoughts are with their son, Richard, the rest of the family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1100 on Saturday 25 February 2023 at Mortonhall Crematorium, 30B Howden Hall Road, Edinburgh, EH16 6TX.
Central Branch meeting is being held on Sunday 12th Feb at The Best Western Hilcroft Hotel Whitburn @2pm. All welcome. New members welcome. Membership renewal forms will be available on the day. Thank you.

I’m very sorry to learn about Ian Bell-Jack. I remember him well from way back in Osnabruck. He was invariably cheerful and encouraged all around him to be so too.
Like Colonel Jim I remember Ian from our time in Osnabruck!

The funeral for Mr George Edmondson will be held at 1pm on Friday 10 February 2023 at Brownings Funeral Directors, 22 Longridge Rd, Whitburn, EH47 0DE, and then at 2pm at Blaeberryhill Cemetery, Blaeberryhill Road, just behind the Hilcroft Hotel, Whitburn, followed by tea at the Polkemmet Masonic Lodge, 7a East Main St, Whitburn, EH47 0RA.

Mr George Edmondson
It is with deep sadness that we report the death on 28 January 2023, just ten days after his 100th birthday, of Mr George Edmondson. Our thought are with his family and friends. George served with 1RS 1941 – 1947, including in India and Burma, and was, to the best of our knowledge, the last RS WW2 veteran. Further details will be promulgated when known.
