Does anyone know of The Royal Scots(THE ROYAL REGIMENT) of whom’s Obituary and appeal for attendance at his funeral Service wa requested in The Newspapers recently.
My Brother who saw the article believes the service either passed or within this week?
Apologies my Brother couldn’t recall The Bro Royals name.
Just highlighting this as wouldn’t want to miss representation by The members of The Regimental Family who may have assisted in a Gallant Royal Scots(THE ROYAL REGIMENT)
Send Off as in the past.
Again maybe a need for an Almoner as busy lives do not afford us highlighting that which can be lost so easily in remembering a Brother of The Regimental Family?
Thank You To Anyone attending if known about, standing in god stead of The Regimental Family not affrded thus.
    Yours Aye

    1. Jim Anderson

Hi Bruce, the following short extract was taken from The Thistler Vol 14 No 3 November 1971.

The advance party left for Londonderry on the 19th May 1971 and was followed by the Main Body on the 27th and 28th May 1971, The Battalion then returned to Tidworth on the 27th and 28th of July 1971 before going on block leave on the 6th August 1971.

      I hope this helps.

    2. Eric Taylor

      Bruce
Are you looking for all our tour dates as my first tour was early 1970 when I joined the Battalion from training at Glencourse — Paisley Park Belfast.

    Hi all,

So the new website has been live for some time now and I just wanted to say a massive thank to Jim Anderson for assisting me in the planning and build of the site.

Jim has taken the basic site I made and really turned in into a flourishing hive for all members.

It definitely looks good and is running faster than when I made it!

Cheers Jim and I hope all the members are enjoying the new site.

    Regards,

    Gregory
