1. My grandfather, 15955 Private David Fisher Mitchell, who joined 11th Battalion Royal Scots and was injured at the Somme on 14th/15th July 1916 later fought in Russia, before being discharged on either 30/3/19 or30/5/19. (difficult to read entry on pensions record)
    All information makes clear that it was the 2/10 battalion who fought at Archangel. Can anyone help explain,
    (a) where he served on returning after injury, before he went to Russia.
    (b) how he came to be with or alongside the 2/10 battalion.

  2. My Great Uncle 52489 Private James Lavin of the 2/10 Royal Scots was killed on 11/11/1918.
    Do you have any further information/photographs of James?
